Last night’s show! Excellent set, happy vibes and the sound there was incredible. Bass was coming through crystal clear and I was able to hear more subtleties in Kahokiss’ drumming that I don’t always get to hear 💚

3/ Oh, and there was some spoon bending halfway through. But you’d probably already guessed that based on the rest of the descriptions.
8.5/10, would rave again.

2/ The members included leather-clad female Rob Halford (donning an eye patch of course), and goth-Ron Mael.
No AI is coming up with this one folks..
..and it didn’t feel weird-for-weird’s-sake either. I found it quite enjoyable.

1/ I’ve just seen a band (sort of unplanned) that I would describe as a mix of avant-garde and improv synth that blends somehow pleasingly into bass-heavy rave and 80s city-pop. It featured not just synths, but also a violin and a cat-screech—function-theremin.

The first show i'd been to in the US.
The venue was awesome.
The security staff were some of the best/most fun i'd ever witnessed.
...and the crowd were friendly nutcases 😅

It’s kinda come full circle as Mizue is standing in while I’m in Japan.
They have been such a huge deal for me- got me through a rotten, lonely period at University around 2010-2013.
And became some of my favourite ever musicians and live performers.
As one door closes I’m sure the next opens ❤️

Such sad news about Maiko leaving TsuShiMaMiRe today 😔
I remember the first time I went to see them live, Mizue had left the band about 2 months before and I was gutted I never got to see her play.
But Maiko ended up being incredible, and has been such a force for the band the last 8 years.

I remember seeing a trailer and thought it looked like one of the coolest, smoothest and most ‘next-gen’ fighters I’d ever seen.
Then it exceeded those already high expectations.
I even played the demo with Cass and Nightmare over and over with my friends.

I was introduced to Banshimoku last year when they opened for Otoboke in Japan. There were so, so amazing.
Shame their bass player has moved on but the new one seems great too!

I’ve been working a new job for a couple months now.

Compared to my last place, the pay is significantly less, benefits not great and job itself often a bit boring..
But the people are so kind.
Kinda wanna keep at it for now, but it’s a real conundrum 🤔🤔🤔

That's been all my life with RPGs. But the ones I love i'll quit 5-10 hours before the end, because I know it's going to end and I don't want it to!
