I know it’s an age thing, but as someone who grew up w/o cable, the answer to “name a movie you’ve seen more than six times that’s not…” is *any* movie pre-Y2K.

I'm sorry, but naming films I've seen more than 6X and excluding Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel & LOTR is supposed to be "hard mode"?? 🤔

I loved Wake UP Dead Man. Of course the cast, lead by Daniel Craig, is amazing, & the storyline is fun & filled with unexpected twists. But it’s the underlying theme of the struggle between doubt & faith that surprised me & set this newest Knives Out Mystery apart from the others.

Thread, and yup. I was also a pro film critic for years and now that I do work in film/TV I keep my vicious thoughts about these media to myself. Even more so in publishing, where I am high enough up the food chain that me being shitty to someone could have actual repercussions.

Had this discussion with some friends back east. They were like "I don't go to the theater anymore because they are gross and disgusting." I was genuinely shocked to hear this. Hollywood should help exhibitors and invest directly to better the general experience.

Absolutely! Even for me, the theatrical chain experience can be such a chore sometimes. Something I put up with to see something I really want to see. Movies need to be a treat again.

I’ve spent a lot of my life on & off working in theaters and the quality drop that the average theater faces is incredible. I can’t blame people either, when you focus so little on upkeep why would the average person want to come spend their money on something they can see more comfortably at home
