Both other those are exceptional books, but Oathbringer just broadens things so much in ways I love in stories - same reason I like the Tolkien universe and (keeping with Sando) Emberdark so much

I think the fact I'm livetweeting my read of Oathbringer kinda speaks a lot to the increased depth and breadth it has compared to WoK and WoR.

Honestly, regardless of if it was intentional, it's really impressive to have created the same queer insecurities that people have IRL despite entirely different baseline premises leading them to logically reach that outcome

This line of thinking is already frustratingly common IRL and yet here there's layers of extra meaning you're missing from the context that makes it even more absurd

I was already a Shallan enjoyer but her chapters in Oathbringer have been absolutely peak. What a fantastic character genuinely.
