I just moved to the Youngstown area from the San Francisco Bay Area, California, so I can afford to retire "soon". Bought a similar home to what I have in CA for 1/5 of the price. Cost of living savings is a big attraction.

I'm glad they waited until after my mum died... I used Skype every week to "phone home" internationally to my elderly mum's landline because it was a cheap way to make (long) international calls to home phones. Hardly used it at all since then but still sad to see it go.
