Interestingly, this study finds that regulating child labor doesn't improve conditions and reduces jobs. One key takeaway: 'Neither policy approach (bans or regulation) directly addresses poverty—often considered the root cause of child labor.'

A paper in which we learn that pollution is about twice as bad for the economy as we previously thought, once you account for skilled workers' differentially larger emigration responses to avoid escalating pollution.
