It should come as no surprise to those who know me that when “America’s Next Top Model” traveled to Japan in Cycle 3, I was obsessed. The T-Mobile “Geisha” photoshoot lives rent free in my mind to this day.

In 1975 the first digital camera was invented in the Eastman Kodak labs. Sadly, the executives saw this new invention as competition for Kodak film rather than as an opportunity to expand their business… the first Kodak digital camera was released in 1996.

The potential closing of Kodak feels momentous, not only as a symbolic death of film, but the world it was used to document.

Out of the 1,599 Polyvore sets I created, only this one from 2017 referenced Pride.

That fountain has to be from the same era (approx. late ‘60s-‘70s) when so many of the great Brutalist public works projects like the Hirshhorn Museum in DC and Boston City Hall were built.

Whoever designed the packaging for the Arizona Green Tea really snapped. It’s timeless.
