I just think that izuku deserves another close friend outside of the dekusquad

When their classes have joint training, aoyama can see the longing in izukus eyes, sees the tight smile as he gives advice to a student who’s struggling with their quirk. So when Aoyama gets word of Bakugo’s secret project, he’s all in.

Aoyama decides to become a teacher too, if only to keep more of an eye on izuku. They share lunches, Aoyama always bringing some fancy cheese for izuku to try. Izuku shares lesson plans and outlines specific exercises for Aoyamas students to try.

Maybe Aoyama loses his quirk too, now they’re both re-quirkless. Aoyama feels slight relief, but it’s overwhelmed from the sadness he feels for izuku. He sees how izuku puts on a brave face around everyone else, watches him survive but not live

They take care of each other is small ways. Izuku always carrying antacid tablets, Aoyama always having arthritis cream. Aoyama shows izuku the joys of self care, mud masks on as Izuku shows him his favorite all might movies.

Aoyamas the only one who truly understands izukus situation of going from quirkless to getting a quirk from someone else and dealing with the repercussions of having a quirk that your body can’t withstand.

hiii this was just a lil idea floating around my head. i have a lot of strong feelings about 431 and this is how i'm coping.

it's been a minute since i've written anything so sorry if this sucks lol

It’s near midnight when they resume the documentary, sitting closer than before, knees and shoulders brushing with every shift. They definitely have a lot of unresolved things they need to talk about, but that can wait until later. For right now, they can just be them.

They chase each other around the apartment until the alcohol that he drank catches up to him and he needs to beeline for the bathroom. Kacchan makes fun of him the whole time but wipes a damp cloth across his face when he’s done.

“Damn straight I am.”

“I don’t think there was anything straight about what we just did.”

“You little fuckin’ shit.”

Izuku yelps as Kacchan lunges for him, dodging out of the way of those explosive hands. He may be quirkless, but muscle memory is an amazing thing.

Somewhere in that half-crazed monologue Kacchan starts chuckling with him. “What do you mean ‘what are we doing?’, we’re fuckin’ doing us, idiot. When have we ever done things normally?”

Izuku wipes his eyes and grins up at the blonde. “Yeah, I guess you’re right.”

It takes three attempts before Izuku can get a full sentence out. “B-because, what the fuck are we even doing! Hah–I mean first we’re having a good time, then we’re fighting, then we’re–fuck–kissing, then you’re trying to keep me from dying, I mean, literally what the fuck.”

The blonde continues to slap his back and for some reason that sends him into the stratosphere. His coughing quickly devolves into the kind of laughter that has your sides aching and eyes watering.

“Why the fuck are you laughing?”

Kacchan smacks his back. “Goddamn, it was a joke, don’t force yourself to swallow it, dumbass. Your mom would fuckin’ kill me if I let you die like this.”

Given permission, he hacks up the liquid stuck in his windpipe.

What, taking all my money for the suit wasn’t enough, now you gotta take all my fuckin’ liquor?”

Izuku sputters around a mouthful, almost spitting it out, but decides that the blonde wouldn’t appreciate that. Instead, he chokes on the liquid, eyes stinging with the need to cough.
