Making disability an aggravated offence is a positive step. However, convictions rates at 2% and difficulty in proving 'hostility' mean that justice is still out of reach for many victims.
Press release: Inclusion London warns that disability hate crime has become “effectively decriminalised” in practice, with thousands of victims never seeing justice.

At our #EducateDontSegregate rally Disabled people delivered a clear message: Inclusive Education is a right, not a privilege. We won’t accept SEND reforms that weaken our rights.
Say NO to new special schools, SEN units, funding cuts, force & exclusion📣

An increase in MIG is an important small step in the right direction.
But considering the dire poverty that thousands of disabled social care users live in, the government must take much bolder action to achieve truly meaningful change.

Inclusion London is such an important organisation with an incredible team of people - please do share these job opportunities with your networks!
We welcome this news, as it will leave more money for Disabled people to pay for essentials like food.
However, it is wrong to take away people's disability benefits to pay for their care. Care charging is a tax on disability and must be scrapped entirely. #ScrapCareCharging

Disabled Londoners sounded the alarm before Grenfell, but were ignored. We can't make that mistake again. I'm glad the London Assembly listened to concerns from @inclusionlondon.bsky.social and backed our motion for the Mayor to work with government to strengthen regulations for PEEPS.
Cuts to support are pushing Disabled people out of the jobs they love.
The Government must properly fund Access to Work, so that Disabled workers can thrive. #SaveAccessToWork
You can help save Access to Work by emailing your MP using our easy template letter:

This is why we're working with the Access to Work Collective to win the change we need. #SaveAccessToWork
