11.10.2025 09:16 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 03 years ago, the Conservative government committed to raise the minimum accessibility standards for all new-build housing to accessible and adaptable standards, but they didnβt follow through.
Itβs time for Labour to commit to making the change we need.
Red textured background with a quote on yellow electrical tape. It reads "It makes your anxious. And it just means that you're less likely to go out and do things that you might otherwise." The quote is from a survey participant and they are talking about Blue Badges and Disabled parking bays. Bold text reading #UnlockTransportAccess is on yellow tape underneath
Some impairments arenβt visible, but they can still make travelling harder. Thatβs when Blue Badges and Disabled Bus Passes should be there to help.
On #WorldMentalHealthDay we're calling for a concessions system that includes everyone. Let's #UnlockTransportAccess together.

Encouraging people to 'reach out for help' isn't enough. Disabled people's mental health will continue to suffer as long as we face welfare cuts, degrading PIP assessments, hate crime, and hostility stirred up by politicians. We need change, not just words. #WorldMentalHealthDay

Thanks to Assembly Member Neil Garratt for raising the issue of the Greater London Authority not having accurate data on accessible housing. Having this information is key to addressing the accessible homes crisis. Weβre part of this city and the data should reflect that. #AccessibleHousing
