Making disability an aggravated offence is a positive step. However, convictions rates at 2% and difficulty in proving 'hostility' mean that justice is still out of reach for many victims.

An increase in MIG is an important small step in the right direction.

But considering the dire poverty that thousands of disabled social care users live in, the government must take much bolder action to achieve truly meaningful change.

£400 cash boost for disabled adults to tackle cost of living 150,000 disabled adults to keep £400 more cash each year to help with cost of living, and £700 million to support tens of thousands of home adaptations.

We welcome this news, as it will leave more money for Disabled people to pay for essentials like food.

However, it is wrong to take away people's disability benefits to pay for their care. Care charging is a tax on disability and must be scrapped entirely. #ScrapCareCharging

Disabled people already face significant barriers to safe travel in London. Removing ticket offices would make it even worse. Transport for London must keep the Elizabeth Line's ticket offices.

Disabled Londoners sounded the alarm before Grenfell, but were ignored. We can't make that mistake again. I'm glad the London Assembly listened to concerns from @inclusionlondon.bsky.social and backed our motion for the Mayor to work with government to strengthen regulations for PEEPS.
