I live in New Hampshire, San Diego was to unfortunately help my daughter move back here. We stayed on a man made flat island next to the airport. Nobody lives there, so when I went out for sunrise photos I was the only person around. The next day was cloudy. Your picture is well captured…👍

My father never really talked about the war. I read a book on General MacArthur to try to better understand what my father went thru in the South Pacific. He might have been under Admiral Nimitz, I’m not sure…MacArthur was one strange dude, good but just a bit off…

I experienced Viet Nam in my living room in 1967. A friend of the family wanted to surprise his family that he was home. His parents weren’t home so he came to our house. The Red Sox were in the World Series. He’s watching the game, my Mother yelled at the TV, he rolled into a ball of fear, he left.

I always say, my father enlisted in 1942 in the Marines,he died in World War II,unfortunately for me he came home.At his wake I was surrounded by his childhood friends and they told me all these stories about my dad. He laughed? He smiled? He joked? I felt like they were talking about someone else.

Good Morning Lynne!!! St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Boston Sunday. Only a million people expected. Not a place that I would want to be around, not after the Marathon bombing.
