started playing 神機覚醒ヴァルクロス (booth.pm/ja/items/645...), a highly anticipated free mecha rpg maker mz game that was developed for five years.
as for the quality of the game, i'll let the images speak for itself. i'm also fond of the battle system. this game might rule.

that being said it's probably going to grow on me as time goes on because it's such a daring VN. ending your 60 hour long VN with 'true crime-brain is what allows capitalism and the upper classes to flourish' (almost word for word) while also doing an anti-coming-of-age story is really ballsy
i kind of hated going through Nono's route but that scene where BREAK FORTH plays while Takuru finally uses his di-sword is such a good moment. a shame about y'know, the rest of it but the same can be said to all of the other routes except for the common route and true end

yeah, this post from the other site puts it well. most people who pirate movies like this would love to see it on a big screen in 70mm, 35mm or whatever but as it is now it's only available to people in first world countries (and even then, just in major cities like NY)
