Happy Halloween. This poetic ghost has escaped her own canon, at everyone's peril, and has decided to costume for Halloween.

She is dressed as Shesheshen, the shapeshifter protagonist of the novel Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell.

That novel is really lovely and I recommend it if you like a protagonist who is truly non-human and monstrous and needs to constantly be aware of that fact to keep herself together. Also, it's a lesbian romance. Cozy horror, ya know? It can be good.

About the Author Zovi McEntee is a writer, musician, graphic designer, artist, and puppeteer living in upstate New York with her partner Iggy and a bunch of toys and synthesizers and old laptops. She likes to make art about her dreams. Speaking of which... Leunea's digital shadow is based on a dream Zovi had in 2025. Reunea's ghost poem is based on a dream Zovi had in 2024, except for the leg lightning scene, which was from a dream Zovi had circa 1996. Zovi releases music under the name Zovi. She also writes more serious fiction under the name Elizabeth McEntee.

Leunea pulls the rope, raising the curtain and revealing her masterpiece: a painting, much like the ladybug from before, of the ghost from Reunea's ghost poem riding the ladybug from before. It is dramatic and majestic, though the ladybug seems even sadder than in Part One. Reunea: Wow.

Leunea is holding a rope attached to a very large curtain. Leunea: It is behind this curtain, Reunea. I will now reveal my masterpiece. Reunea: Please do, Leunea.

On this page, Reunea seems to have retained the taller body of the ghost in the ghost poem. Leunea: Did the ghost poem change you that much, Reunea? Reunea: Ah. No, Leunea. It will just take a moment to fully wear off. Leunea: I see.

Reunea is back to her old self. The sisters stare at each other in silence. There is understanding in their eyes. It is a beautiful moment.

Reunea: Leunea, my sister, did you finish your illustration? Leunea: Oh, yes, Reunea, my sister. I have finished my illustration. It is right over there. Come see.

Folks, Israel is not letting aid in which means Palestinians continue to have to buy food on the black market from Israel sponsored gangs. If you can donate a little money to the fundraisers we're posting, you can keep someone alive. Palestinians wouldn't beg if they didn't have to.

Realistically, rather removed from internet scene...also to be honest I don't know many people who listen to OPN that much, I think he's more niche right now than he was a decade ago.

I dunno, I get engagement on there enough to keep posting! Sure plays are in the hundreds or single digit thousands at the most, but it's still hundreds!

But comments are increasingly rare, which is a bit sad.
