This is great but the carpet gave me traumatic flashbacks to being at my Nanna's with the electric bar fire cranked to full even though it was already about 40 degrees in there.
Although at least electricity was affordable then.

In my defence, I did include an appendix table listing all topics and themes, but this should've been in the discussion and apparently my discussion and results should've been clearly delineated and I genuinely had no idea how to do that πŸ˜…

(By the skin of my teeth - turns out I do not know how to write a literature review - did not realise you're meant to list every topic present rather than identifying the central narrative - what can I say - once a narratologist...)

Can't recall any other research cycle with such an incredibly narrow remit. Even when there was a data/technology obsession, the meaning of those terms (and therefore the opportunity to do interesting humanities stuff) was much broader. Struggling to see how that will be the case here...

Students begin Covid compensation claim against 36 more universities It comes after University College London settled a claim from students there over lost learning in the pandemic.

I feel so miserable about this. Nearly broke myself working 16, 18 hour days during the pandemic. We did everything we possibly could, then doubled it, tripled it. HE is still struggling to get back off the floor, years later. Now another financial punch in the face.

Millions of gamers set to explore Fife village in new Silent Hill video game A small fishing village in the East Neuk has inspired the next release in the Silent Hill franchise.

The description of St Monan's as a place suited to existential horror made me chuckle. (I love St Monan's).
Thought the locals might be annoyed in the comments, but they're all just like "Inaccurate - in the game there are actually parking spaces available."

Unfortunately small presses close all the time, and their baby bird books need to find a new nest. My fledgling sun-vampire queer cannibal novella, SUNBATHERS, now needs a new home, as does my sapphic pirate novella QUEEN O'NINE TAILS.

If you know a toothy little home for either, please hit me up!

no, it simply isnt.
People are talking about capital using gAI as an excuse to conduct mass lay-offs, about students losing learning because theyre being lied to about gAI in education, about the mass theft of the work of artists and authors to train LLMs, about CSAM and nonconsensual sexual images.

If the person is British this means they have the utmost disrespect. Should be read as "contemptfully" in that instance.
