A lesson from the Civil Rights Movement

We've seen efforts to social-hack those chats by posters here on bluesky. It's like pressing all the buttons of an apartment building, because someone might just buzz you in.

When I teach Vietnam, I explain that opposition to the war really grew in fits and starts. Some big rallies and visible protests, but also a steady stream of celebrities and ordinary folks breaking with their priors and taking a new stand.

This last month, this last week, feels like a real shift.

I mean no, "You are a sad deluded man in a skirt and that's why I gave the host of 'Celebrity Apprentice' intercontinental ballistic missiles," really is one of those things where even if I were to grant the initial premise, what follows is a bit of a trip.

I remember Schwarzenegger describing growing up and. seeing the old Nazis (including his dad) in his hometown as a bunch of broken-down losers, regretting the past.

ICE people who haven’t gone too far, this is your last chance to shape up. Resign. Commit to serving your country the right way.

Don’t let elected Dems use this as a “We showed them! Back to normal!” trigger.

Call your senators.
