These insights usually lead to imperative followup questions or gauging things like important visceral reactions to work. In a remote environment, there’s really no better way to bring clarity and context and it’s the fastest way to get to know someone.

I’m not sure I get the meme-based hate on the concept of jumping on a quick call. Face time can be so essential for relationship building and it provides the ability to pick up on cues that don’t exist through email communication.

But somehow knowing why you needed that and that others have similar experiences can make everything feel a bit lighter and OK. I also love all the quotes sprinkled throughout the book. It’s too easy to feel isolated on a weird island set on hard mode all the time.

One of my favorite things with these types of ADHD books has been those “OH, *that’s* why I do that” moments. For those of us diagnosed much later in life, we’ve already organically and subconsciously found a lot of personal life hacks in order to get by.

I’ve noticed that people in the burbs stick to a lawn schedule even when there is no longer a lawn? The grass stops growing, and yet they mow still. My neighbor mows 4 times a week and blows imaginary particulars off his driveway for hours. The Always Sunny suburbs episode was like a documentary
