Scott Walker was caught NOT offering free voter ID at DMV in WI. A DMV staffer who reminded people the voter IDs were free was reprimanded for doing so. Walker wanted to use the IDs as fundraisers.

what isn't free regardless are Birth certificates and SS cards if the office you have to use is more than walking distance, or if you were born in a distant county. These types of documents are required if you have no current ID to get an ID.
