Between the earthquake/tsuanmi scare, the UnitedHealthcare shooting and the South Korea martial law stuff this week, it feels like Bluesky is getting more and more critical mass around breaking events that made Twitter so sticky and useful.

Not a good sign that NBC news cut into a football highlight show last night with "BREAKING NEWS" about a presidential pardon, while Trump's attempts to end our country as we know it go mostly unmentioned.

in US & UK & elsewhere, the right wings are operating as cults. you can't debate them, they're not fact-based, they don't live in reality

There is something deeply amusing about musklings coming here and realizing there’s no algorithm to boost their rage bait, which was their main advantage.

Final thoughts today. My conclusion is that many in the US have no idea what's coming for it. Can't/won't believe. 'The institutions will hold'. 'There's always the courts.' Let's hope so. But the plan is shock & awe. Think high-profile scapegoats, a climate of fear, institutional cowardice.
