I’ve avoided drawing teeth so far because there is a wrong way to do it. But as my mom said when I was taking a bunch of somber, close-mouthed photos a decade or so ago, “We didn’t pay for braces for you to not smile!”

Flashback to when Shawn had this mustache and people would call him Dracula.

Added a little more to my patchwork leg sleeve with this contemplative dude I drew earlier this summer.

Thank you! I’ve done a couple over the years in my more simplified style, but they never really did her the justice she deserves.

Hello. It’s me again.

Trying to draw more people who don’t live in my house, so how about someone who’s about to live on my TV every weekend for the next several months 🏈

Today’s faux-cyanotype colored pencil portrait is of my wavy-haired beauty, Joshua.

Self-portrait in profile. These are all colored pencil so far. For this and the one I did of Shawn yesterday, I used four aqua/turquoise shades, including my last Deco Aqua. That pencil was retired many years ago by Prismacolor, but I occasionally get lucky and find one on eBay.

Shawn has such a fun face to draw ✍️
