This 7 year old Sparkling is still young, but already drinking beautifully, and will continue to age nicely in the 5 to 7 years. I had the 2017 vintage a year ago and loved it as well. Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, oak, spices, chocolates, coffee, black pepper and black tea. Medium minus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries. This is a very tasty Merlot from Tuscany. Rich, extracted and still showing lots of fruit notes. This 10 year old Merlot needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but drinking nicely now. Complex and nicely balanced. The nose is just gorgeous, but the palate doesn’t quite match its complexity. Needed 2 hours in the decanter to open up and show the beautiful nose. Robert Parker 96 points. Wine Spectator 95 points. This Super Tuscan is a little disappointing, as it received great reviews, but I had it blind, so it is what it is. Chateau LaGrange Les Arums de Lagrange Blanc 2023, Bordeaux, France Pale lemon in color with a light golden hue. Strong nose of citrus, limes, light oak, spices, earth and herbs. Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing. Dry on the palate with lemons, green apples, grapefruits, herbs, earth, spices and light wood. Nice length on the finish with limes and almonds. This is a very tasty white wine from Bordeaux. Elegant and spicy. Well balanced and complex. Soft and smooth. Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with fresh seafood. A blend of 73% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Sauvignon Gris and 15% Sémillon. Aged for 7 months in (40% new) French Oak barrels. 13.5% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $40.

Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon 2002, Australia #AgedWineTuesday Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. Not showing much age. Beautiful nose of blueberries, blackberries, plums, cooked cherries, spices, licorice, cedar, earth, chocolates, vanilla, rhubarb and black pepper. Medium plus in body and soft, with medium acidity and long legs. Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cherries, toast, cedar, light vanilla, mediterranean spices, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, earth and peppercorn. Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries. This is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia. Rich and elegant. Fruit forward and complex. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and entertaining. Good right out of the bottle, and better after 60 minutes of airtime. Robert Parker 91 points. Wine Spectator 91 points. This 23 year old is drinking beautifully now and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years. I've had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent.
