What if you sink it into the ground about four feet with concrete walls, like a basement, then stick the greenhouse on top? You can also get tinted twinwall polycarbonate or glass to provide a bit of a light filter and in theory reduce heat gain.

Not quite a semi alba, the petals are actually pale pink. I don’t recall if this one had a forma attached to it, and I can’t seem to liberate the tag from the pot to find out.

I kept this plant because it had some skeevy looking leaves. It’s fine, just they were a bit ugly. I had no idea it was going to bloom out completely without purples. I do hope one of the others blooms semi alba, as special as an alba is I’m still fond of the semi alba variation.

Vanda tessellata alba, smelling like a spiced mead. They are bright chartreuse, typical tessellata vein pattern barely visible, with a snowy white lip. This is from a population that was supposed to be semi alba, so with a pink lip.

#Bulbophyllum odoratissimum. Vaguely fragrant of some kind of melon soap substance. This plant is only loosely associated with the cedar shingle it was given as a mount. Some roots are attached, but the bulk of the plant exists as a hairball in front of the mount.
