This week our reading curriculum has us reading about the 1925 Serum Race, so I had to bust out this amazing picture book to read aloud toy 5th graders. It is a little longer than most picture books I read aloud to them, but they were completely captivated.

Today we started a new read aloud: No Talking. I think Andrew Clements is the master of school stories, and September is the perfect time to read an awesome school story. Hoping this read aloud leads to a bunch of my readers exploring Andrewβs phenomenal books.

We finished our first read aloud of the school year. This one is still a home run with kids. They loved it so darn much. I think Iβve read this one aloud to kids more than any other book. The end gets me EVERY time. π
