On this International Women’s Day, @voffund.bsky.social honors all the women who organized & contributed to its centuries-long fight for equality.

No one is free until we are all free, & that starts with dismantling the patriarchy.

After Emmett’s murder, she advocated against white supremacy & for racial justice, before returning to school to become a teacher. Roe would be 53 today if it wasn’t murdered by an irredeemably politicized Supreme Court. Although Roe on its own was far from sufficient, it was a necessary step towards gender equality.

We continue to fight for abortion access in Florida which is subject to its draconian 6-week abortion ban.
