Hear hear! Americans are simply not doing enough. Americans created this mess, they must be the first to show they are tackling it.

That’s exactly my point: it’s a global problem and as such, Europe needs faith in its collective economic strength and turn its back on America. We will likely follow Canada’s approach and seek closer ties to China. Americans created this mess. They must be the first to show they are tackling it.

I appreciate that. But I question how much time you have to actually stop this before irreparable damage is delivered on the world order.

But the majority of Americans are not doing enough about it.

There is a calm in the woodland rains that grounds me and makes me feel closer to nature than at any other moment. Amidst all the chaos in the world, nature still provides the most efficacious balm. 🌳

Sadly, it’s happening here in the UK, too. Ignorant people promoted way above their level of ability and sitting in positions of power. In the real world they’d struggle to make middle management.

Just listening to some speeches from Obama’s Presidency. Feel a little tearful. Oh, how we used to have intelligent statesmen with an intellectual tongue. Where discourse was respectful and bounded by the richness of the English language. We took it for granted. And now we long for it. 😔
