dear #fluorescentprotein specialists: anybody knows if mStaygold can be used in split complementation assays? Is analogy to the s11 strand split possible?
Happy to be at Science 4 Life today, showcasing great science from Utrecht's science park
Happy to present my latest research project at #NLSEV2025
Many interesting questions from the audience, so I guess I struck a chord π
Thanks to Luuk van de Schepop for the picture!

#NLSEV2025 PhD thesis awards!
Out of 5 entries, 2 theses reached the same score, and remained tied after adding 3 extra external reviewers.
Congratulations Marije Kuipers and Willemijn de Voogt!

Effortless cell targeting of EVs?
Sounds like an interesting keynote talk by Khuloud Al Jamal, #NLSEV2025

Happy to have contributed to this perspectives article about interactions between therapeutic EVs and circulating B cells.
Unexpected discovery, confirmed in different experimental settings. Curious to learn more about these interactions and their therapeutic potential

Abstract submitted for #NLSEV2025!
@nlsev.bsky.social
We don't know yet, it will take a while to process all of the samples. Luckily we don't have to do all of that in one day π
Had a 14h shift in the lab yesterday. Mice experiment followed by magnetic sorting of different cell types from tissues. Too many washing steps but there were some cells left in the end. Next step is to see whether my EVs have reached their destination π
We have some exciting news to share..... #JExBio is now indexed in Web of Science!!πππ
Yes! Mention of #extracellularvesicles in a @kurzgesagt.org popular science video about pregnancy. Wait until they learn about all the processes EVs play a role in π€
With @amyhbuck we wrote this piece on extracellular RNAs that intends not to give answers but to propose questions that can expand the field in new directions.
Hope you like it! We really enjoyed a lot brainstorming it.

do you ever stare at the ceiling and think about how the worldwide scientific establishment did the impossible and created a COVID vaccine in under a year and the response of the general public has been to go on an unstoppable rampage to destroy science and scientists
π’Call for papers!π’ #JExBio is pleased to announce its first Special Issue 'The Biomolecular Corona of Extracellular Vesicles'. Guest Edited by Professors Massimo Bottini, Benedetta Bussolati, and Annalisa Radeghieri. isevjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/hub/journal/...
If you havenβt already, please consider signing & sharing this! NIH public servants defending the integrity of our publicly funded health research need our voices. This administration is

Very cool findings but kit-based 'exosome' isolation kits, like used in this paper, isolate many other things in culture medium. It would be good to validate this on a proper (density gradient or size-exclusion) EV isolate
