Watched Star Trek TNG's "The Inner Light" (S5 E25)

Had never seen this. The episode can be nitpicked, but I found it extremely moving and well done. Insanely good episode where Picard goes through something mind-bending and deeply emotional that fundamentally changes him. Classic sci-fi stuff

Bestie the elephant logo

I'm not saying it's the best thing ever but I spent hours working on the "Bestie the Elephant" logo by hand, shaping almost every line. Actual days and weeks of thought and time. And clients occasionally tell me it's one of the reasons they called me

I know the types of people (esp dudes it seems) who go into contractor work may also be the types who engage with AI but I'm begging them... stop... i cringe every time

it also leads to funny situations where several contractors have extremely similar logos because you type in like "pressure washer logo" or "auto detailing logo" and it regurgitates up the same general outlines. it's crazy dude.

to me like, if you have AI shit out a zero effort, generic, uninspired blurry swimmy incongruent logo... what does that speak to, about your work? about your attention to detail? about your personality? Nothing good

every small time contractor / business uses AI to make their logo now and GUYS. IT LOOKS BAD. WE CAN TELL. Spend like 2 hours actually designing something or commission an artist!!!
