Was left out of most group activities because it got out that I was autistic, and I was peer pressured and convinced by even the teachers to effectively abandon my only other friend there because her mother was “unstable” (read; single mom with several jobs).
And that’s all just the highlight reel
Went to summer school at a local church for a little under a month in elementary school and had my dominant hand tied behind my back because I was a lefty, told my grandfather was going to hell because he was Jewish, given the “boys can’t like boys” talk because I held my friend’s hand for safety…
