Thanks, Rob! They'd been turning up in that tree outside my bedroom window (where my PC is setup) for 15-30mins every morning & afternoon for ~3 weeks and I finally got off my fat arse and grabbed the camera to capture them. They bolted before I got a shot the 1st time, but got 'em the next day!

Yeh, it's hard not to anthropormorphise the 'facial' expressions with the 'bomber' proving the grumpy one's belief that it's their significantly less intelligent sibling.

Both are in an Australian Bottlebrush tree (aka Callistemon) with vibrant red flowers.

C'est la vie. At least it's not Common Mynahs, and the prevalence of Noisys is on us for creating the perfect habitat for them. I enjoy seeing the birds they tolerate vs those they don't. Seems to be a community of varieties they're okay with here.

I see surprisingly few greenies here in the wilds of St Lucia, and any that turn up are roasted by the Noisy Miners. The Rainbows seem more tolerated, generally.
