20.10.2025 01:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A white hand holds a book titled Guardians Of Dawn: Yuli by S. Jae-Jones, a New York Times bestselling author. It has a library barcode sticker on the top right. The cover is very colorful artwork of the main character and a creature- a large bird with peacock style feathers in various shades of blue, purple, and turquoise. The bird has one wing in front of Yuli and one wing behind, its head arcing over her. Yuli is in the center, her name large in front of her. She holds a golden arrow as if itβs strung in a bow, pointing slightly off center, to the right. Her skin is white, and she wears a fancy long sleeved shirt, puffy around the wrist. Her hair is in a braid that starts at the top of her head, and the strands are multicolored- red, brown, and blonde. There are yellow butterflies around her head, a large one with pink at its center by her ear.
Currently reading Guardians Of Dawn: Yuli by @sjaejones.com! Itβs the third in the series. As always, these covers are gorgeous! I would love to own them just for that fact alone!

September was a slower month for me- couple books took me quite a few days to finish and messed up my average time to finish. But at least I read everyday, keeping my streak going strong!

Definitely! I saw someone say they read along with a guide for Pride and Prejudice, and I may have to look into that next time!

Shout out to @kathlenebrown.bsky.social for telling me Clueless is a retelling of Emma- gave me the push to power through! #JaneAusten is very talented, and I will definitely try another of her novels, but for now I think I need some short & sweet reading.

Do you have any advice for someone who may be interested in getting into book blogging? What sites would you recommend, if any? Any pitfalls to avoid for beginners?

Hereβs my #August #reading wrap up! It was a slower month of finishing books for me- Emma and My Name Is Barbra sure are long! But I do have an itch to reread all The Hunger Games books since finishing the illustrated edition!
What was the best book you read in August?

The plot is so lost that Iβm not even sure it exists anymoreβ¦ we cannot protect our earth because of imaginary lines? Tired.

29.08.2025 23:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Cover of Emma by Jane Austen, the spring edition. There are two layers- the top is teal and cut into a design of a woman's profile, facing left. She has a parasol and 1800s period clothing and bonnet. Behind her, the second layer in pink, shows hills, trees, and the sky. Jane Austen, the author, is at the top in an arch. There are roses in front of the woman, and what appears to be wheat behind her. In the forefront are different items relating to the story- a picnic basket with breads and food in it, letters, glasses, and a cake.
Right now I am struggling with #Emma by #JaneAusten and I fear it may be putting me in a slump. Have you read it? If you loved it, please give me (spoiler free) thoughts on what you loved about it! Looking for the inspiration to keep going. I'm about 22% in.

Getting into the reader social sphere often has me feeling like I'm not reading enough- so many people seem to finish a book a day!
So here's a reminder to me & anyone else experiencing this- read. It doesn't matter how slow you are, or how many books you finish in a month. Just. read.

I will say that if the synopsis or something is misleading, then itβs great for a review to point that out and detail a synopsis more agreeable with the book.
