UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

We have a situation where the US treasury and Sovereign Wealth Funds are propping up financial markets and not making productive investments in Infrastructure except for data centers which use enormous amounts of water and electricity but which have shown little or no benefit to the economy.

KKKaroline Leavitt say that Democrats have "selectively leaked emails to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump."

But as I understand, it’s more typical for trump to smear himself.

Either way, someone else always needs to clean him up #USDemocracy

Fake smiling Greg Abbott on a Loteria card titled “El Fascista “

This guy just announced his official bid for reelection as governor of Texas.
Including a platform to eliminate all property taxes for schools - which would eliminate public schools in Texas. Or put them all under dictatorship control.

Lots has been written about the effects of the deportation of immigrants on small businesses and farms but immigrants like all of us are also consumers, if a million are deported and those million spend $30k each, that’s $30 billion withdrawn from the economy and with the multiplier $50 billion.

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

At least Dems got a ceremonial vote on the ACA subsidies in the senate so Susan Collins can vote against her party on that knowing it won’t pass but she’ll be able to run on another vote that allows her to pretend to be a moderate. The deal is an in-kind contribution to Collins.

Democrats were overwhelmingly united on their shutdown demands.

Americans understood that Trump and Republicans were to blame.

Voters made it known last Tuesday that they'll elect leaders who stand up to Trump.

Democrats held the cards — and folded for no reason.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.
