W/ a deal nearly in hand, the Trump admin “ indicated to scotus on Monday it would continue to fight an order… to fully fund… SNAP.”

Despite the GOP lip service abt dems harming SNAP recipients, it’s what they wanted all along. Except for their paychecks & health ins, they want fed gov to disappear

If you think the people throwing Great Gatsby-esque parties for themselves, while millions were denied their food assistance, are all of a sudden going to grow a conscience and save affordable healthcare, you clearly have not been paying attention.

The US Supreme Court has acted like it's one of Kim Davis's many husbands and kicked the "Marriage is Sacred, Y'all!!!" hypocrite to the curb. Glory!

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

This is not a win tonight. This is caving in on a “promise” from people who have proven they don’t follow through on promises. In other words, fuck us all again, thank you very much.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

This isn’t very hard, folks.

I will not support this bill that completely fails to help Americans afford their health care.

Trump and R’s have more than doubled Americans’ health care premiums, and for 40 days they have refused to lift a finger to do a thing about it. In fact, they’ve made it worse by taking food from kids.
