I was thinking that may be they are not that close friends? She's been on the podcast and obvs in Macbeth but that doesn't mean she's become close friend with the family.
Otherwise I struggle to understand it.

I'm sure the theories are more detailed, but I'm not in tumblr / reddit so I don't know how to find them.
Those things are just what stood up to me in the last rewatch, and remembered that I'd read theories about it.

She doesn't need to be a "bad" demon per se, nor have nefarious motives.
She says that her grandfather knew Mr. Fell's grandfather, maybe implying she's always being around there... Plus, runs a shop with little profit, like Az; she wasn't that impressed about demons raiding the bookshop... 🤔

Once or twice I've come across theories about Maggie being a demon, because of the spelling thing, they went into further detail for sure, but I cannot remember 😅

The thing about demons not being good at spelling bothers me more and more.
I rewatched season 2 last week and they take time to show us that demons AND Maggie have difficulties at spelling... I may have to join the theories about Maggie.
