Hi there, long-time Signal user here. It's not really a Snapchat alternative, but rather a secure messaging app for encrypted chats (more WhatsApp than Snapchat). It *can* do group conversations, and I'm always in favor of more people using Signal, but it may not quite do what you're looking for.
