The build-a-bear wolf is resting against the build-a-bear bunny. Bella is holding Kiki, their fursuit heads on the dresser in the background. Behind the fursuit head, a "Days until Kiki's home: 0!" Lanyards of past conventions and their years are on a corkboard. --- Original art piece idea by @mIdrux on Twitter, but I and others were disappointed they drew it with mean-spirited intentions.. even calling the kidfur character a "diddyblud" (yes. verbatim) and getting wrapped up in "proship discourse." I thought the message was too human to let it be diluted + overshadowed by typical online whataboutisms and wanted to redo + reclaim it with more touches of the furry fandom, esp being a furry myself. It's love. For some, the love of your life is in the corner of a boring furcon panel room -- even if they don't have the same "interests," it's care that bridges the gap.
