He was playing the arena near our show in Birmingham years ago (either when we played with Abigail Williams + The Infernal Sea or with Black Tongue) and his massive tour buses blocked all the bands in so we couldn't get out. We've had a one-sided vendetta ever since.

I seem to have become the "go to" guy for reviewing this band at NCS... and, as always, my review next week is probably going to upset both the lovers AND the haters alike. C'est la vie.

In fairness... someone once asked me if we would ever play somewhere like Steelfest and my answer was "absolutely... we'd play our set, with our usual 'fuck fascism, fuck bigots and bullies of all stripes' banter between songs... and then fucking RUN for the van as soon as the last note hit."

We usually forget to do this until later in the day... but it's #BandcampFriday and we've reduced our prices (for today and all weekend).

We're cancelling our scheduled post(s) for today to say goodbye to the one and only Tomas Lindberg... a true legend of the scene, often imitated but never bettered, and a man without whom a lot of us wouldn't be doing this at all.

Damn, I am sorry to have been the bearer of bad news... I considered not actually posting anything, but I honestly don't think I'd have been anywhere near as likely to get into making music (or being a vocalist) if not for Tomas and his massive influence on the scene.
