This is roughly what it will look like inside. She’s taking in and out some items to make it personal. Like Grandma was a teacher, Grandpa was a farmer that built a golf course, etc.

I told her Grandma liked purple & butterflies and she painted this! There’s a shelf inside with little items & a frame for a picture.

I’ve discovered a wonderful woman in Chicago who makes Dia de Muertos altars out of cigar boxes. She does beautiful work! I bought one before Christmas at a market for my paternal grandparents. She’s making one for my maternal grandparents & using personal touches.
