This is about as bad as a show can be while still being good if that makes sense.

Now watching for the first time in millennia and I canβt believe how John Irving-y this movie is.
Like itβs based on some long-lost Irving novel.

21.02.2026 14:02 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm hardly voracious. There are mfs on twitter who read like a book a day, which I donβt understand or entirely believe. But thanks. Yeah, Intermezzo rules.

Intermezzo ropes you right in. Only one character has a stream-of-consciousness style narration, and itβs very readable.
No chosen motif on my part, just some books I had on the shelf!
Iβm almost done with Intermezzo and itβs honestly incredible and very intimate.
Halfway through this fucker and IT. IS. WORK. Jesus fucking Christ, this thing.
I have MANY complaints β so many that itβs difficult to organize them in my thoughts. Anyway, fuck, on we go.
Blocked whoever the fuck this is apparently
19.02.2026 22:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0To be honest it kinda fits with the vibe here. Itβs just quotation marks. Itβs less off-putting than it is with Cormac McCarthy, who says fuck quotes, em dashes, parentheses, sometimes commas.
14.02.2026 20:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm also reading this 1,000-page book thatβs mostly one enormous run-on sentence. This is the first time Iβve read two books at once in a while and itβs a real headtrip with this thing in the mix.

John C. Reilly is quite lanky in a lot of his movies. Sometimes lanky-with-a-gut, but thin nonetheless.
And I wouldnβt call Keenan skinny.
Youβre very close to the exact spot where a scene in Sleepless in Seattle was filmed way back in the day.

What Black authors are absolutely killing it in contemporary literature?
For all the reading Iβve been doing, Iβve neglected Black authors almost entirely for the last few years, and I donβt know why.
So Iβm looking for some recommendations.

Only just started but itβs a neat balance of semi-stream-of-consciousness style for one characterβs POV, and traditional, intimate narration for the otherβs.
No quotation marks, which fucks me off, but thatβs creative license I guess.
I expect it to be very sad indeed, and a little bit funny.

Itβs sadder than you could possibly imagine, but β damn good book.
Oh my gosh, Iβd never even noticed them before but this is everything.

Casting this in my head as I goβ¦
Jude: Harry Lawtey
Willem: Jacob Elordi
JB: David Jonsson
Malcolm: Jharrel Jerome
(I know JB is supposed to be βfatβ/βchubby,β and yet and I have cast someone who is exceptionally fit, but thatβs just who came to mind.)
I kinda remember this movie I think!

Halfway through this. Yikes.
It has totally captured my attention, and itβs been an addictive read thus far. But I think itβs about to get hell of a lot harder to get through.
