*appointment
Mood.
I had a rheumatologist appoint a couple of weeks ago, and after talking a bit she said, "Wow. You really know your body."
I blinked at first and then said, "I have to. Otherwise no one will help me."
Then she blinked, and moved on the conversation.
Sounds about right. π
Yeah. I am not going anywhere once I get back to my room. And I'm back at my room by 11 pm the latest.
It looks fun, for sure.
I've played games like this before. This tactical style is definitely a genre. But it's a throwback. You don't see a lot of contemporary games like this anymore.
The stunt choreography in this is great. Love it. No notes.
But yeah, they're all binary, which is ugh.
The only solid resource I could find that is inclusive is _What Fresh Hell is This?_. Which isn't for spouses, but I got it for myself.
I've found about 4 of them. 2 were mentioned in this thread. The other 2 I found through Hoopla, but they were audiobooks and that's not what I was looking for, so I just kinda scrolled past.
I ordered Hot Not Bothered: A Practical Guide for Surviving Perimenopause and Menopause as a Couple.
Ah! Thank you!
There's also this resource, which I specifically like for the "How to navigate doctors who won't help" section.
menopausewiki.ca
Also, if you don't want to have to sneak around places, you need to up your diplomacy skill. I hate sneaking in games, so going hard on that stat is what I need to do.
The first game was more action rpg. This one is more traditional and more tactical rpg. Lots of pausing with tactical view and setting combos and party member's attacks up.
Started the new Greedfall yesterday.
I am not very far. Still in the prologue area. I think I'm going to restart the game and respec because I didn't expect the gameplay to be what it is.
But definitely enjoying myself.
If it's just a basic newsletter, honestly, I find Brevo to be fine. It's the cheapest that I can find that does what I need it to do: send out monthly newsletters for an indie studio.
Oh, this is a mood.
I will! It's an interview to see if we're the right fit. My therapist is also a social worker in the public school system here, and he has some suggestions for alternative orgs if this one doesn't align. (But he thinks this one will.)
...and how we need to teach kids what to look out for.
I've been working in social media and community for nine years now and have a pretty good grasp on that kind of thing at this point. This is how I can help.
I'm rather excited about it. It's empowering to get up off the couch and do something.
Since the world is on fire, I've been trying to figure out what actionable things I can do to help put the fire out.
Well, I have an interview to volunteer at a youth outreach org because I sent them an email ranting about media and social media literacy and the alt right radicalization pipeline...
And since we're talking about Banana and Sen-Foong, let's talk Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall!
From the blurb:
An RPG of Chinese immigrants running the family restaurant by day, and dealing with the hauntings of Jiangshi by night!
It's a lot of fun.
Exquisite Crime
Play as Paranormal Detectives! This is kinda like A Quiet Year in that you're making something together. Banana Chan and Sen-Foong Lim never miss, in my opinion.
Fiasco
GM-less chaotic fun. I always enjoy playing Fiasco.
It's 8:30 am and I am already gunning for the work day to be done so I can fire up the new Greedfall.
My spouse and I built a dresser together and two things worth celebrating happened:
1. We got everything right the first time.
2. No one got upset or frustrated.
High fives all around.
I worked in tabletop for a while, so uhhh... I have shelves.
Edge of the Empire
This one is Star Wars. But it's not about the main factions. It's about the smugglers, bounty hunters, mercenaries and sorts who are living outside of all of that.
It's super fun to play. This is one of my favourite games to play and I'm not even a big Star Wars person.
Cypher System!
You can do all sorts of things with it.
Dawn of Worlds
A collaborative system that allows groups to create worlds!
Good Society - A Jane Austen Roleplaying Game
It's exactly what the title says. haha
Afterlife: Wandering Souls
You're dead and you uncover who you were in your previous life.
(Yeah, I've given up on adding pictures. I'm cooking dinner, building a dresser, and about to start therapy in a few minutes. ADHD, who, me?)
Capers
Play 1920s gangsters with super powers. It's loads of fun.
