🧪And oh, by the way, in a glaring display of either uniformed or anti-science short-sightedness, the Trump regime has indiscriminately & drastically cut science funding. According to a NYT article from 22-May-25 (link in ALT text), new NSF grant funding is at its lowest level since at least 1990.

😂😂 something in between. Normally we have a weighted device we can fill with deep sea "wax" (my favorite mix is surf wax & Vaseline). But none of this was on board, so the marine techs, the cooks, and long-time WHOI scientists and site expert Dan Fornari (directing the op from shore), MacGyvered it.
