I implemented a neural network at our survey which helps remove problematic transients in our astronomical images, increasing the Near-Earth asteroid discovery rate at one of our telescopes almost 10%. That's called data.
As a "journalist", I'd expect some effort investigating reality before just blindly jumping onto some socials fad about hating AI.
