Calling libraries, librarians and web archive enthusiasts!
Hereβs a guide on how to celebrate the 1 Trillion Web Pages archived since 1996

Public records, private view.
I used to read behind a private shade, alone with ink, no footprints made.
Now every page I try to see,
demands I share my identity.
Login to read, login to learn.
Whoβs reading me while I read?
Whose ledger marks the page I turn?
A little proof of concept I've been working on, it's a version of Bluesky that you can run locally, even on your laptop, that pulls just the data you care about from the firehose, indexes it, and provides you an interface to view and interact with posts.

When evaluating healthy environments we see high populations of indicator species. Such as salamanders.
When evaluating healthy AI we should similarly see high results for indicator metrics. Such as salamanders. π¦
Good idea, we can develop indicator metrics.
Similar to how environmental scientists use indicator species to signal changes in an ecosystem. For example, salamanders are often used to detect shifts in habitat conditions, and canaries served as early warnings in coal mines.
Congratulations to you and to them
