This healthy chunker has since moved in from this plant, to enter its final stage of evolution. This little fella is most likely in the fourth or fifth stage of its life-cycle; which is when their appetites really start to show. Two to three of this crawly critters can defoliate a milkweed plant in a couple of days.

Thatโ€™s bad news for younglings or other species that thrive off the plant, such as Milkweed Tussock Moths.

Also known as Parsley Worm, these lovely chunky critters transition into The Black Swallowtail Butterfly. This process takes place roughly 10 to 30 days after voraciously feasting on its host plant.
