Our community gathered in candlelight to honor Deputy Andrew Nuñez, standing shoulder to shoulder with his family as we remembered his service and sacrifice. I’m grateful to every neighbor who came out to lift them up with love, strength, and support.

There must be a full, transparent investigation with immediate updates. DHS statements can’t be taken at face value. The public deserves to see the body-camera footage, security footage, and all witness accounts. Accountability isn’t optional; it’s demanded.

I am heartbroken by the loss of Deputy Andrew Nuñez. My deepest condolences to his wife, children, family, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. His courage and sacrifice in service to our community will not be forgotten.

Today, I was honored to attend the grand opening of Chris Hartmire Plaza in Pomona, a new 90-unit affordable housing community. This project will provide residents with on-site health and wellness services, bringing essential care and stability to our community.

Ontario International Airport is too important to be dragged into politics. I led a letter demanding that Ontario International Airport remove a partisan DHS video that violates federal law. Taxpayer dollars cannot be used for political propaganda. No institution is above the law.

Republicans control the White House, the Senate, and the House. Republicans have the power to open the government and hold votes. Republicans are choosing to cancel votes in exchange for an extended vacation.

Speaker Johnson won't swear in Rep.-elect Grijalva — who won her election two weeks ago — because she'd be the 218th vote to force the release of the Epstein files. Arizona’s 7th District deserves representation, particularly in the midst of a government shutdown. Swear her in. Release the files.
