I cannot believe that Mike Gundy's heart-to-heart with his bosses and everyone's firm handshakes didn't prevent this
06.09.2025 21:18 โ ๐ 80 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 0Not yet halftime, and it's Oregon 41, Oklahoma State 3.
06.09.2025 21:19 โ ๐ 45 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 6 ๐ 2Losing like that to that goal is so frustrating. But I guess itโs better than being bad
17.08.2025 17:25 โ ๐ 24 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0One of the most interesting teams in the world right now in my opinion. The way they use all of their players is fascinating. They have positional tendencies (3+2 or 3+3 buildup, want that front 5 in attack), but the players in those positions perpetually change... & they pass to them in motion too
01.08.2025 03:02 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Check out this example from the game where they're able to get their LB free, despite Binacional man-marking pretty intensely to start. Binacional's RW stops marking Cusco LB. CM drops to drag his marker as the pass to LB comes, freeing acres of space for himself
01.08.2025 03:02 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This is one element that separates them from a lot of other teams employing a 3+2 buildup in football nowadays. It's not flat, it's not static, and the players in the 3 & the 2 can change, making it very difficult for opponents to defend against
01.08.2025 03:02 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Look at all of the communication & off-ball movement from Cusco in the buildup of this possession
Particularly the far side here. Players are fluid, dropping into spaces & creating more angles for the player on the ball, and communicating with teammates to keep everyone in check
Letโs welcome Eugene to League One and for folks who arenโt familiar with the distances between things in the US, Glascow is closer to London than Spokane is to Eugene, Oregon #LocalDerby #PNW
30.07.2025 15:14 โ ๐ 17 ๐ 4 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1Bodo/Glimt are a really, really well-coached team. Thatโs always enough to be respected.
21.04.2025 21:28 โ ๐ 31 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 5 ๐ 0One incident, three different broadcasts, but only one of them was able to tell what was actually going on because the commentator was in-stadium.
It really does make a huge difference.
No Scandinavian club had reached a European semi-final since Brondby in 1991. Now Bodรธ/Glimt and Djurgรฅrden have done it within minutes of each other. Bodรธ/Glimt are the story of the season.
17.04.2025 21:57 โ ๐ 126 ๐ 26 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 3It is my biggest pet peeve with broadcasters of NWSL and MLS games.
These are top division leagues. The broadcasts should be treated that way and the annoucers should be in the stadiums, and whoever is in charge of spending the money should spend it.
when you're going through a very long banter era after decades of unparalleled dominance, you at least get a captain attacking midfielder who constantly goes for screamers and hollywood balls but does cool stuff in the process.

27.02.2025 05:35 โ ๐ 320 ๐ 20 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 2Japan has been coming for a few years. Beating the #USWNT convincingly (at home, no less) means theyโre here.
27.02.2025 05:36 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0That said, this Japan team was outstanding, and deserved all three of its wins.
27.02.2025 05:36 โ ๐ 14 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1Japan's press and counterpress is so good - surgical, almost. Relentlessly punished any hesitation or imprecision in the USWNT, who looked pretty uncomfortable in the half-hour I watched.
Vintage Nadeshiko.
Japan is just incredibly good, y'all. Even a full-strength USWNT would have had its hands full.
27.02.2025 05:41 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0There'll be a lot of overheated takes, as there always are after a #USWNT loss, but this is the best performance from one of their opponents in years. Outstanding structure, just a remarkably intelligent performance from every player Nielsen put on the field.

27.02.2025 04:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Someone has to sit down Bundesliga referees and explain to them what a clear and obvious error is.
Yes, that Leipzig penalty is soft. But no, this isnโt one that is a clear and obvious mistake by the referee.
Was never a clear and obvious errorโฆ and took forever!
What was the point?
No affinity for Liverpool, but hoping to see them tear Man City apart
