Resolume is a perfect program with no bugs or flaws, and will absolutely never crash on you in the middle of production. Nope. Not possible. It's perfect.

(in seriousness, you rocked it, and I can't wait to take some of the ideas to other cons I do this at :D)

I’m gonna do a little VRC dancing during one of the sets tonight, and @hawkbird.bsky.social set up a Vey avatar, shoved me into a SteamVR rig with full motion tracking and I got to look at myself in the mirror for the first time.

Y’all. I get it now.

I don’t take any of this for granted. Thank you to everyone who makes this weird, wonderful patchwork of a community feel like home - even for just a weekend. We carry that feeling forward. We make it last.

And it’s worth saying: no one individual speaks for a whole community. We’re layered. Imperfect. Human. But when we lead with love and give each other grace, we make space for something incredible to grow - together.

That said, this work isn’t without stress. Public roles come with pressure. There’s discourse, tension, missteps. It's messy. But most of us carry the same goal: to serve something greater than ourselves. And we show up - even when it’s hard.

We build homes out of empty space. Turn fleeting weekends into lifelong memories. We curate joy, connection, and belonging. It’s exhausting work - but the kind that makes you feel alive. The kind that makes you proud to be a part of something bigger.

Helping @hawkbird.bsky.social with the VR performers, building visuals for @apuppy.online for hours on end - this is why I do what I do. For my friends. For the community. In tribute to what has, in recent times, honestly helped save my life.

Anthrocon 2025 will forever hold a place in my heart. From rooming with @purriku.bsky.social, @larscis.com & @djgoofyvr.bsky.social; to rooftop DJ’ing with @rootscastic.bsky.social; every moment was electric, collaborative, and full of love.

It was an absolute blast.

One of the other touches that I asked for from @bino.gay was one of the lamp posts from the Meetup world, so that we truly could have a ghost light in the world. I wish I could show you what that looked like up close, but we used the DJ halo space to display the lamp after the credits roll.

This outro had me use 14 video layers, and 6 audio layers in Premiere Pro, as well as about 3 to 4 hours of layout and timing in Resolume Arena to produce. Kat Food also spent a significant amount of time timecoding the lighting that you see within the club.

With that said, thank you to all those who helped make this weekend so special for myself and so many others.

When I was editing the playback file, I was crying compositing all of the pieces that went into this, but I wasn’t expecting how I would feel being surrounded by my friends while watching what had only been previewed by myself in the club alone.

For those that stuck around until the very, very end... thank you. One of my favorite contributions to Club F.Y.N.N. this year was helping to composite, VJ, and edit the send off.
