On the Silt pond today, there was a Redshank, Common sandpiper & Little ringed plover,
2 Wigeons were on West Holm, with a juvenile Mediterranean gull on East Holm, along with a Hobby in the oaks,
Also on East Holm, was a well grown juvenile Great crested grebe, probably from West Holm,

Two years ago avian flu ripped through our reserve, we lost many Black headed Gulls and all Mediterranean Gulls, so it’s great to see at least 7 juveniles (3 families), this year. NCW, East Yorkshire.
