it's a really unique and fun game, despite how grating it can be the soundtrack does have some bangers too ๐โโ๏ธ
just bit into a kettle chip so crunchy everyone in this subway whipped their heads around and stared at me ๐ณ
loading up Sonic Battle for the first time in years i was immediately reminded that the entire sound track is bit crushed electric guitar that borders on the sound of an angle grinder

Devil May Cry 4 - Another game I was too young to be playing but it was the PINNACLE of sitting on my brothers bed watching him and his friends take turns playing while they were chugging energy drinks and eating cheetos. Peak edgy teenage gaming and when I finally got to play through it I loved it
Animal Crossing Wild World - i was hesitant to double up on one franchise in this list but this game was truly my first online experience, I'd play with my cousins often and defs broke the "don't talk to strangers on the internet" and shared my friend code around. met so many cool people
Kirby Air ride - This games a blast. Played it nonstop with my cousins, brother, friends growing up but even to this day I still run into people who love it and still throw down in city trial over a few beers. picked up air riders recently and need to play!
Pokemon Emerald - Got this for my bday at the start of a very long hot summer. spent so much time inside playing it when it was too gross to be outside. always makes me think of summer. also spheal.
Wind Waker - I wasn't big on fantasy n swords n stuff as a kid and while I thought ocarina was cool this game really sparked my love of the genre. I remember people including my brother being mad about the graphics but as a kid it felt like they were made for me. they're still so charming today.
Sonic Adventure - Arguably the only game I can speedrun, still poorly. every spring break in highschool I'd make a point to 100% it. a tradition I carry on yearly to this day.
Halo 2 - played it when I was much too young to be playing it. My friends dad was a wildfire fire chief and his crew would be hanging out at the house until they got called out. we'd have huge Lan parties with this and it sparked my love of the series.
Animal Crossing Gamecube - This game taught me how to read. It will always be my favourite game and I spent probably three years straight playing it near daily as a kid.
Beetle Adventure Racing - this game is such a blast, it was the one game everyone in my family played. it's just a need for speed game retextured with only volkswagen beetles. funky graphics, a fun battle mode and randomly evil dead quotes for the announcer?? great time
