I chose leaf slug for two reasons:

#1: They're very cute. They look like IRL Pokémon.

#2: All gastropods are hermaphrodites, able to play either role in reproduction. I like having the character that represents me to not be one gender or another, even down to a biological level.

Leaf slugs are one of the few animals able to perform photosynthesis by absorbing chlorophyll from the plants they eat.

In real life, their cerata are green, but Vellow's are purple, just like how some plants can have purple leaves if they have anthocyanin.

A reference sheet for my fursona, Vellow. They are an anthropomorphic leaf slug with a tall, heavy, and round build. They have off-white skin, pink spots on their cheeks that look like blushing, green horn-like rhinophores, and cerata that go from their head all the way down their back. The cerata are spotted and purple with yellow tips. Their legs are digitigrade and their fingers and toes end in clawless points. There is a front pose, a back pose, and a casual pose where Vellow has one hand on their hip and the other behind their head. In the casual pose, they're wearing a long loose-fitting shirt with aquatic designs, green shorts, and brown sandals. The image has many scattered word bubbles around it. I guess I should explain what my avatar/"fur"sona is, since it's an odd one. You don't often see aquatic or invertebrate "fur"sonas.

Vellow is a species of Sacoglossan sea slug called a "leaf slug" or "leaf sheep." 🍃🐌

My character, Vellex, from a #DnD one-shot a while back.

He's a kobold fiend warlock who thinks he's better than everyone else. He refuses to walk and has his skeletal butler, Jarvin, always carry him.

He was the only survivor from a TPK!
