When I first started watching DS9 back in the 1990's Only Fools and Horses was still rerunning on TV, and I saw it straight away. I've always assumed it's a coincidence. Has it ever come up in conventions?
A question for British Trekkies of a certain age.
Quark and Rom = Del Boy and Rodney?
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to try and like this, I'm going to watch it with a truly open mind, but what won't do is get angry at silly things because I don't want to think for myself. 5/5
But people are angry at "woke" so they come out with "there were no female Jem H'adar", as if 800 years can't possibly change that. It's sad that people are angry about this, but it's also very dumb. 4/5
The other thing that has wound people up is the sight of a female Jem H'adar/Klingon. Now I think it would be a fitting tribute to the great Rene Auberjonois to have Odo go back to the Great Link and free the Jem H'adar of their addiction to The White and enable procreation. 3/5
TOS had 3 straight white males on the bridge crew out of 7. Star Trek has always been about representation, and it always will. It had a mixed race character as 1st Officer, a Russian security officer, Japanese helmsman and a black comm officer. And that was in the 1960's 2/5
I'm looking forward to Star Fleet Academy, and hopeful of seeing The Doctor back again, but mindful that Section 31 was undeniably bad and that this gang made that, but predictably the trolls are out online complaining about "DEI", IN A FUCKING SPACE SHOW?? 1/5
Netflix synopsis of In The Hands of Prophets - "A Bajoran woman in religious garb observes Keiko O'Brien's class and calmly objects to Keiko's secular methods of instruction".
As entrances go that's understated as hell.
I have a question about my baseball, this baseball, the one I'm named after. Am I the one Buck Bokai gave Commander Sisko in "If Wishes Were Horses"?
If so how?
My take on Charlie Kirk - his middle name was James.
Hi all, long time no see. Following a watch of TNG Episode Coming of Age, I noticed that Primeval was on next. I decided to do my usual IMDB search for Star Trek actors, and then I looked up and saw the brilliant Alexander Siddig.
If we think of Trek actors other roles as their Trek selves playing in the Holodeck, then explain Miles O'Brien in Layer Cake.
No spoilers, but Strange New Worlds Season 3 Episode 7 is just really well made all round.
Well done all.
What are the chances that this guy has Star Trek fans for parents?
I have to say that as much as I'm looking forward to the badass hybrid of a Klingon/Jem'Hadar I'm not impressed with the idiots who think that it breaks canon despite it being set 800 years in the future.
After watching the Fantastic 4 movies (with a clever Star Trek reference thrown in) I'm not on a rewatch of Marvel's Agents of Shield. It was nice to see the guy who played Lt Carey and the guy who played Commander Hilliard in the same scene in season 1.
I, like many fans, am intrigued by the new Starfleet Academy series. I'm stoked by Gina Yashere as what looks like a female Jem Ha'dar (sans tube), and the Benjamin Sisko nod. I'm looking forward to seeing the EMH as well, and all the other bits.
All Star Trek is Star Trek.
Now the spoiler bans have ended I can say it. I love how decades of fan theories on Trelane have been confirmed - it totally works as well. I also really like how they've done the Gorn. Star Trek has always treated the Gorn as a joke but these writers have nailed the reimagining.
My Wife was born in May so that explains a lot, my dad was born in November - ditto.
I'll take Janeway.
DS9 S7 E24 - The One With The Brazil Snub.
DS9 S7 E23 - The One With The Multitronic Engramatic Interpreter.
DS9 S7 E22 - The (Other) One With The Nerve.
DS9 S7 E21 - The One With The Nerve.
I'm watching an Episode of Voyager at the moment The One With Tuvok And TwoKes.
DS9 S7 E20 - The One With The Death Of The Defiant.
DS9 S7 E19 - The One With The Double Tap In The Back.
DS9 S7 E18 - The One With The Ignored Warning.
I've just watched the first 2 episodes of SNW Season 3. No spoilers but I'm a big fan.
Son'a even......
DS9 S7 E17 - The One With The Son's.
