Mail in ballot. I work at a polling place, not my own though so I vote by mail. Unfortunately the SAVE Act wants to prevent election workers voting by mail. I don’t remember seeing poll workers making the cut for mail in voting in that act.

I think there are 5 in the series right now. The fifth came out a few months ago.

If you like murder mysteries and old British people, I highly recommend the Thursday Murder Club series. Probably my favorite books ever. But I also love murder mystery type books.

Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books, a great quick book that everyone should read.

😁 Thanks! I’m always clapping along to whatever chant or music is being played, focused on the action. Going to the games is my break from reality. It’s nice to be in the moment. Especially with this team. Shai’s incredible.

A pretty exciting game to attend and actually sit close to the action. I’m in this game winning shot photo. 🌩️🆙

My first vote was in 2000. My freshman year of college. I was so excited for Gore to win. And then we didn’t have a winner…for days. And it went to W. I was so disillusioned by that whole fiasco. But it didn’t stop me from voting in the future.

Me and the husband in our Thunderwear at the OKC vs Nuggets game Good seats! Lower level corner view from row C. Jaylin Williams on the Jumbotron. The Nuggets warming up in the foreground.

Friends gave us two lower level seats for tonight’s Thunder game to sit with them. The only downside, our friend is a Nuggets fan. Lame.

One was in the Philippines during WWII, met my grandmother when they went to college, and he became a metallurgist. She graduated with a home ec degree and worked for the county.

The other learned Japanese and was an interpreter in WWII and became a nuclear physicist. My grandma was a doctor.

I am so pissed right now.

That IS shocking. I have to admit that I’m in Edmond and my kids have had pretty decent teachers, with a couple questionable ones.

I almost included on my last response that I selfishly felt better that it’s not just rough in Oklahoma. But I’m actually pissed it’s not great everywhere as it should be great everywhere for all kids, damnit!

Super disappointing to hear.

That really blows my mind. Are they new teachers?

Teachers at this point have to know that so many kids are dealing with ADHD, social anxiety, and some of us are just introverts who don’t like speaking up. And it’s 2nd grade!! Still ridiculous when he clearly does have a handle on things based on his test scores.

HEAVY sigh. That’s ridiculous. Definitely not where the focus should be for a 2nd grader and definitely not for one already doing very well. Also what does that even mean? Does he need to show up with an encyclopedia to read in his free time? Is that seen as scholarly?

Yeah, it’s so frustrating.

So dumb. I remember filling out the thing asking if my baby can pick up a raisin or cheerio with 2 fingers instead of a hand. I thought it was a gotcha question bc raisins and Cheerios were a choking hazard at that time. They thought my kid was behind. She’s now 2 yrs ahead in math in 8th grade. 🙄

A “proud fighter” can’t take a sign from a man with a cane. Truly embarrassing for him. Also completely disgusting behavior.

Sen Howard’s LA was quite rude and cut me off, said that I shouldn’t be calling committee members and should call my own senator to talk to the committee members. 🙄 So I did. Sen Pugh’s LA was great and was appalled that someone said that to me.

Agreed. As a kid I took gymnastics for the fun of it to learn and try new things. I wanted the same for my daughter but couldn’t find a place that wasn’t going to charge/treat me like I was going to raise the next Olympic champion. So we didn’t do it. Nothing is just for fun anymore.

I enjoyed your take on the weekend. I’m sad that Ajay didn’t get to partake in the weekend events, but it was fun to see what the other guys did.
