1. INTRODUCTION You don’t know how the legend came to your knowledge EIGHTH DAY OF THE WEEK is a game about escaping the grind, and staying awake for 7 days while enduring everyday life and a specter of sleep debt you leave behind, all to get a taste of unlocking the secret eighth day of the week. This is a game of long term sleep deprivation, complicated relationships with the self, fluctuating debt of the self, of sleep, to an entity that is too vindictive to be considered a force of karma. Content Warning section x This game deals with themes such as insomnia, degenerative mental and neurological states, psychosis, delusions, hallucinations, unreality, supernatural forces and the occult, death, capitalism, debt, punitive justice, stalking, drugs, self harm, and purgatory. 2.HOW TO PLAY SECTION This is a solo journaling ttrpg where you document your journey of sleep avoidance for 7 days in order to potentially unlock a secret eighth day of the week. You play the game by rolling for a prompt that will color the next 24 hours(?) of gameplay, and keep track of DEBT which is a negative currency you owe to the LENDER, and REROLLS for the day that they're assigned to. At the end of each day, there will be a mechanical change that you incorporate into your character's resources. You will be directed to either roll for a prompt in a table or pick a single prompt. Unless otherwise prompted, roll on the MUNDANE side for each consecutive day You will need: – a six sided die. – something to write with to journal the game. At the start of every day, before reading your prompt, write down how many DEBT you have. But before that...

Being "intentional" is more than just knowing what's popular and what's problematic. It's knowing *what YOU want* and not shooting yourself in the foot.

- and there's no reason why mech stuff should stop growing beyond Gundam. If your mech stories fall into the Mazinger Z / Super Sentai style Super Robot or it your stories fall closer to Gundam, that's fine so long as that's what you want. Just don't act like those are the only 2 boxes.

Mechs don't need to be hefty tanks given out by the hundreds to an army in a narrative about dehumanization, imperialism, and warfare. Gundam is just popular. You don't need to force your mechs into those themes if you don't want to. There's like a full decade of mech stuff that came before Gundam-

Free yourself from your preconceived notions of "the correct way" to approach fictional concepts and genres. There is no right way, there's just paths that have been proven profitable so people keep going back to them.
