If Hamas wanted peace or to protect the lives of Palestinians, they could have returned the hostages at any time. They refused because they are not interested in peace or the lives of Palestinians. We know this because since the truce Hamas has been executing dozens of Palestinians in the streets.

Yahya Sinwar was a mastermind of the Oct 7 massacre. He was released from an Israeli prison in a similar exchange. Setting free thousands of criminals and terrorists for the return of innocent hostages is not reasonable & is extremely dangerous as we know from the results of having released Sinwar.

Agreed on Bibi, Trump and Putin but no, Hamas was not willing to release the prisoners. Hamas is a terrorist death cult. You can display your anger at the 3 above without becoming an Hamas supporter. The Palestinian people deserve a life free from Hamas.

You’re choosing to define political violence by target and setting where I think it’s fair to say many, if not most, define it by motive. You might disagree but clearly it’s a reasonable stance. So why respond with such hostility? Why are people so comfortable being nasty online?

Did the US force the people to vote for Hamas? Several parties ran in that election but Fatah was the primary opponent. Also a shitty choice but who are you blaming for their shitty options and at what point do you give the Palestinian people any responsibility for their choices?

2006 and at that time Hamas ran on a platform promising war with Israel. They were elected on this platform of war. On their promise to destroy the Jews. The people had a choice and they chose Hamas. They chose war.

Hmm, why don’t you share the OLC statement you are referring to that says a president can only be indicted for a crime if they were first impeached.

I call it a tactic because impeachment is not a goal unto itself. At least not for me. The goal is to stop him from inflicting as much damage as he is to the country & world. Impeachment would be an action you employ to aid in achieving that goal. Hence, a tactic.
